Those of you who attended one of the TOUCO appreciation dinners last year will remember Fr. Bruno’s story about Miriam, the girl who was brought to TOUCO as a toddler on death’s door in desperation by her grandfather who had heard of the UPENDO orphan village from a friend. She has recovered to full health after several years of love, attention, good nutrition, and appropriate medical care. Above is a photo of her Christening last year as Maria. It was a beautiful celebration of Life that turned into a community-wide celebration event.
